Miss Drakenstein 2012

Good day Mates !
Last year round about this time The Glam Pixies (Shirna McMillan and myself )approached the management team of Miss drakenstein . The both of us were almost done with our studies and seeking a new adventure .We got asked to help on the photo shoots for Miss Drakenstein .It was really fun working with all those young beautiful ladies and of course being able to do what we were passionate about is just extra brownie points :) here are a few of the gorgeous pics :

Momma got style

Hi Girls and Boys

Every now and then i find something awesome in my mommy's room .Whether it be jewelry or a scarf or boots or some vintage clothing she hasn't worn for decades .My latest discovery was this beautiful flower shirt which she has had since forever maybe even before i was born.I gave it a rinse and it smelled like 21st century .Here's how i rocked my moms vintage shirt.

Still has the original buttons on although its missing two buttons

Transgender Diva

So for my graduation film last year i had to take a male and create a transgender female. Now transgender is very different from Moffies they look more authentic and not drag looking. So i had the challenge of trying to create one here are photos from our test shoot:

Hi all my Sea lions

So I've realized that i have never uploaded any of my photography work .Not that i'm a pro and that people would be lining up for me to take there photos but for the love of it. My love for this hobby was always unrecognized until i was browsing through my photos and realized that i was always behind the camera .I'm kinda shy and always give off this awkward smiles when someone else takes the picture because i feel uncomfortable hahaha. Then my passion started when i was 1st year with most of projects requiring photo shoots i enjoyed it terribly and just couldn't get enough of shooting people and things .Although i never had proper training i didn't let that get me down but would love to go to a few classes to improve my skills. Theirs this motto which goes " I can do anything I set my mind upon ". So who says you cant be a photographer without skills if you really want to achieve something in life go get up and do it the only person in your way is you .

RED

So i know many of you might be over the colour red ,but i just can't deny my love for the colour of love (cheesy i know) . Winter is turning out to be one of the coldest I've experienced and what better way to warm yourself up with colors. I took a few pics of my favourite red day .

According to Winter Trends 2013 Red is one of the trends not to miss out on whether it be a scarf , coat , red skinny pants or boots .Rock the city by painting yourself with red.

Rugsacks

Finally they brought back Rugsacks t.I remember admiring this bag when i was a whole lot younger my sister had a black one and it looked super cool.Certain people still made use of rug sacks and never allowed it to really go out of fashion . They still made use of the old material or leather rugsackss. I think i had a rug sack as well but gave it away due to Spice Girls breaking up hahahaha. Rugsacks are practical and stylish and are in fashion this season for women and men .here are a few pics of my favorite kinds.

Kerrie Star goes far

A few years ago us Capetonians were introduced to the singing carguard who writes his own lyrics to Michael Jackson .His first song being about his wife who just makes curry and nothing else he continues and complains that they have never seen kentucky or steers and that her rice doesnt taste nice coz of unbrazed onions.Anyhow so i was just searching the net and came across a video of him being interviewed on expresso earlier in the year .Congrats Allen Abrahams for all your dreams coming true you made us Capetonians proud .Just shows no matter how hard you get knocked down you can see the sun shine in any situation.
